About the Initiative
The Galim Madanov Archive Initiative is dedicated to the preservation, organization, digitization, and activation of the artistic legacy of Galim Madanov (1958–2025). The initiative was formed in response to the need to safeguard a large and historically significant body of work accumulated over many years of artistic practice. The initiative is led by artist and curator Gaisha Madanova in close collaboration with Zauresh Terekbay, artist and long-term creative partner of Galim Madanov. Together, they bring not only direct access to the archive but deep knowledge of its artistic, historical, and contextual significance.
Do You Have Materials Related to Galim Madanov?
We are actively seeking any materials that may help expand and enrich the archive. If you are a collector, former colleague, collaborator, gallerist, or someone who encountered Galim Madanov’s work over the years, we would love to hear from you. This includes photographs, exhibition catalogs, press clippings, correspondence, video recordings, or any other documents and objects related to his life and practice. Every contribution — however small it may seem — can play a meaningful role in preserving this legacy for future generations.
